Psykolog » Psychotherapy

My initial psychotherapy training is psychodynamic. I have added cbt (cognitive behavioral), solution-focused therapy, body psychotherapy and EMDR (eye movement therapy).

The goal is to overcome the problems you are have. Furthermore, I consider it important that the client gain insight into why there has been a particular problem.

In psychotherapy, attention is turned toward the inner reality in which thoughts, fantasies, images, feelings and body sensations appears. Our inner world affects how we see the world and how we act. Our choices, actions, relationships and experiences of external events and what we are experiencing are in constant resonance with the one we are within ourselves. This is also the difficulty, because the inner world is always vague in it’s nature. The inner world doesn’t easily make itself clear, therefore we sometimes do not understand why we repeat negative patterns. It can be hard to deal with the difficulties, even though we rationally is trying to solve them. In such situations, you may need professional help.

At certain conditions and life situations which include panic attacks, social phobia, flight phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, depression, burnout, anxiety, low self-esteem, crisis, and unrealistic fears, a cognitively-oriented therapy might be successful. The treatment involves using a schedule identifying negative thoughts and develop alternative ideas. Concerning external behaviours the treatment focus on gradually trying new actions called exposure treatment.
